Hi, I'm Jermaine. When not writing code at Google, I spend my free time writing science fiction, mystery, and fantasy. I also write non-fiction delving into the mysteries that will determine what lies ahead for us as a society and as a race. My fictions are written as cautionary tales, acting as a reflection of not only the future of humanity, but also the present. Over the course of the next few months I will be publishing material to the site, updates on the process of publishing Prime Descendant, and more.

Prime Descendant Book One

Insignia

“Prime Descendant” takes place on Yllisius, a planet inhabited by the descendants of a highly evolved race of humans. Yllisius has a single task set for itself, to survive. At the risk of abandonment by their parent species, the nations of Yllisius have fallen into an arms race for technological supremacy, and ‘The Great City of Temerden’ has declared itself Yllisius’s first utopian metropolis.

With its new title, Temerden must maintain an unknown set of standards to distinguish itself in what could be a cosmic struggle for existence, with competitors unknown. The first book follows Calden Vajor, a gifted prodigy and son of Yyn Vajor, the esteemed Commissioner of the Temerden Defense Agency (TDA). Calden embarks on a desperate bid to root out corruption among the upper ranks of ‘The Great City’. Meanwhile, he grapples with trying to understand his mysterious newly adopted brother, Urik Vajor, whose fate may be tied to the survival of their entire civilization.
